Community support continues to shape what is possible here, and today we are grateful to Oregon Community Foundation for their unexpected award of $10,000 following an invitation to share our work at their board meeting.

Sharing the Work of the Row River Valley

We were invited to speak about the Row River Valley, our volunteer firefighters, and the steps our community is taking to build local capacity for safety and response. It was an opportunity to represent a small, rural community that has come together to take responsibility for its future.

Empowering Through Investment in Safety

This support represents an investment in safety and preparedness. It helps advance our efforts to build local fire response infrastructure and strengthen our ability to respond when it matters most. It also serves as a reminder that the work our community has invested in is valued beyond the valley. It gives us buoyancy to continue our work in safety, mitigation, and resilience.

A Meaningful and Unexpected Gift

At the conclusion of our visit at the Oregon Community Foundation Eugene offices, we were surprised to receive an award of $10,000 in support of this work. To have our efforts recognized by Oregon Community Foundation is an honor. It reflects the work of a small, volunteer-driven community being seen and valued. Their support helps carry the work forward. It strengthens both heart and capacity to continue the good work and helps us maintain momentum as the community continues to build.

A Commitment to Community Well-Being

The Oregon Community Foundation’s belief in our mission to safeguard residents and property strengthens confidence within our community. This support reinforces a shared commitment to collaboration, local leadership, and long-term resilience.

Seeing into the Future

We are encouraged by the growing support not only for the Row River Valley, but for rural communities across Oregon. Community is the foundation of resilience across our state. When neighbors come together to solve local challenges, the impact reaches beyond one place. It strengthens regions, protects shared resources, and builds a more prepared and connected Oregon. Our work begins here, but it reflects what is possible in communities throughout the state.

On behalf of the entire Row River community, we extend our thanks to the Oregon Community Foundation.

With sincere gratitude,

The Row River Fire Response Board
