A Partnership at the Right Time
Some investments arrive at exactly the right moment.
The Row River Valley Community Partnership is grateful to the Roundhouse Foundation for its generous support and belief in our community during a pivotal chapter in our journey.
In 2023, Roundhouse Foundation awarded $12,500 to support firefighter training and equipment for what was then Row River Fire Response. At the time, local residents were working to bring emergency fire and medical services to an isolated rural valley that had gone without them for decades. Building that capacity required more than determination alone. It required partners willing to invest in the people stepping forward to serve their neighbors.
Investing in Local Leadership
Roundhouse’s support helped equip and train local volunteers who were laying the foundation for what would become the Row River Rural Fire Protection District. More importantly, it demonstrated confidence in a community working together to solve its own challenges through volunteerism, collaboration, and perseverance.
For rural communities, progress often begins with neighbors willing to step forward and organizations willing to believe in them. Roundhouse’s investment provided both practical support and encouragement at a critical time.
A Lasting Impact
Today, the impact of that investment extends far beyond the equipment it helped provide. The Row River Valley now benefits from a growing culture of preparedness, volunteer service, community engagement, and resilience. Residents continue to come together to reduce wildfire risk, protect natural resources, support neighbors, and strengthen the connections that make rural communities thrive.
While our organization has evolved into the Row River Valley Community Partnership, the values that guided those early efforts remain the same: neighbors helping neighbors and working together to create a safer, stronger future.
