Congratulations to our own Kathleen Istudor and Walt Bernard, who were recently recognized by the Lane Electric Board of Directors for their service, dedication, and commitment to our community.

For years, both Kathleen and Walt have worked tirelessly to strengthen the Row River Valley through leadership, volunteer service, and a shared vision for a safer and more resilient future. Their efforts have helped advance projects, build partnerships, support local families, and improve emergency preparedness throughout the valley.
Kathleen’s work securing grants, building relationships with community leaders, and advocating for rural communities has helped bring new opportunities and resources to the Row River Valley. Her commitment to improving the quality of life for local residents continues to make a lasting impact.
Walt’s leadership and determination played a critical role in establishing and growing the Row River Rural Fire Protection District. From locating equipment and supporting volunteer recruitment to helping build operational capacity, his efforts have helped create a stronger foundation for fire protection in our community. As he steps back from active involvement, his contributions will continue to benefit the valley for years to come.
We are grateful to both Kathleen and Walt for their service and proud to see their contributions recognized beyond our community. Their dedication reminds us what can be accomplished when neighbors come together to invest in the place they call home.
