Welcome to the Our October/November 2026 issue.
Welcome to the October/November edition of the Row River Review! As autumn arrives, we’re sharing ways to care for our homes, our neighbors, and the watershed we call home. Inside, you’ll find practical tips for reducing wildfire hazards while protecting wildlife habitat, a closer look at our nighttime neighbors—bats—and guidance on keeping septic systems working well to protect our water. We also have updates from the Fire and Water Districts and news about the upcoming Disston Substation, which will strengthen fire protection in the upper valley.
There are plenty of opportunities to gather this season. Our next Think Tank Tuesday will bring guest speaker Faye Steward to discuss watershed protection and hear your ideas. The Row River Grange Harvest Festival will offer seasonal festivities and an on-site voter registration drive with the League of Women Voters. And in our History Corner, you’ll discover some of the story behind the Little White Church. Pour yourself something warm, enjoy the read, and come join your neighbors as we care for this place together.
