The Row River Valley Community Partnership is working with the Row River Rural Fire Protection District and Lane County representatives to build a Main Fire Station that strengthens emergency response, wildfire readiness, and community resilience in the Row River Valley.

Why a Main Fire Station

Our valley is rural, high wildfire risk, and served by limited emergency infrastructure. A Main Fire Station will provide a stable base for fire protection, emergency response, training, and coordinated disaster support.

How You Can Help

Building a fire station is a community effort, and there are many ways to be part of it. Volunteers help by supporting events, sharing information, gathering petitions, assisting with outreach, and connecting us with local businesses that care about community safety.

Donations help cover planning, preconstruction, and project costs that are not always funded through grants. Contributions of any size make a difference and help us stay ready to move forward as funding opportunities arise.

Step 1: Community formed a fire district

Local residents organized to place formation of the Row River Rural Fire Protection District on the May 2024 ballot. The measure passed and the district was established in summer 2024.

Step 2: A site was identified and land was secured

A station site was identified on land donated specifically for fire station construction, giving the project a foundation to move forward.

Step 3: Partner coordination and early planning began

We are coordinating with local and regional partners to navigate permitting pathways, site needs, and funding opportunities.

Step 4: Preconstruction work is underway

Preconstruction is the technical work needed before construction can begin. This includes planning, design development, engineering, permitting steps, and cost estimating.

Step 5: A full funding package is being assembled

The Main Station is estimated at approximately $3.5 million. We are pursuing a diversified funding plan that includes federal, state, and philanthropic resources.

Step 6: Construction begins once shovel-ready and fully funded

When design and permits are complete and funding is secured, the project moves into contractor selection and construction.
